Are you ready to lose that weight for good? There are so many diets and pills these days to help you lose weight. They are usually expensive and a lot of the pills can do more harm than good.
We all know that in order to lose weight, we have to eat good foods. We need to get in all the "good for you" fruits and veggies. It is important to cut out all of the processed foods that we can. It is the processing that makes the food lose its nutritional value.
Why do we find it so hard to do these things? It is so much easier to open a frozen package and microwave it than it is to prepare our foods fresh. We know that this isnt the best choice, yet we have grown accustomed to the convenience of using the microwave and heating up prepared foods.
Then there are the so called "fat-free" foods. This is a label that I have learned to just stay achoice from. If you read the labels... they are not all that good for you. They usually have added ingredients like sugar or some other unknown substance to make them taste better.
Really, what we need is a new choice of thinking about our foods. It is possible to have a great meal without taking forever to prepare. Keep salad fixings in the fridge and try to have a salad with your dinner, this is a great choice to get your vegetables in everyday. Try some olive oil and balsamic vinegar with a splash of lime and salt and pepper. This will save a lot of calories, as most store bought dressings have lots of sugar added.
Take the time to prepare something fresh... shrimp and fish are usually quick to cook and they are good for you. Prepare a menu on the weekend so that you have it all planned for the week. You can make hamburger patties ahead of time or spaghetti sauce on the weekend. With a little planning and early prep work, you can be ready for quick and easy dinners throughout the week.
For me diet is an ugly word. Just the mention of the word makes me feel deprived. Forget about dieting and just change the choice you think about food, if you are trying to lose weight... use a small plate. Just cutting down on portions will go a long choice to reaching your goals.
Eat slow, take the time to savor your food. It takes about 10-15 minutes for your stomach to let your brain know that you are full.
Basically, we all need to address the choice we eat, how much and what we eat and just make healthier choices at least most of the time.
We are only human, so if you overdo it one day... dont beat yourself up about it, just try and do better the next day.
Thanks for your time and Be Healthy!
God Bless!
